Today I Started our Project 3 (Advertising Campaign) where we went through a powerpoint presentation which showed us the checklist and we went through a couple adverts for some well known brands and analysed them. We then had to create a new Webnode blog once we had done this we were tasked to find an object to practice taking different picture angles.

Today I did some work on sound we had to record some ambient sounds from around my house I then uploaded them to Youtube and inserted them into my blog. We also did some work on diegetic, non-diegetic sound and panning. I found a video for each of these topics to help explain and show examples of them. 

Monday 25th January 2021

Today I was tasked to attempt to create homemade foley sounds with object around my house. I chose to punch a melon which was to sound like a human body being punched. I then chose to bite down on some pasta which was to sound like bones cracking. I found that this task was fun and creative and If i was to do this again I would do a more wider variety of sounds (not all body breaking sounds).

Today I was tasked to research into the different types of advertisements such as: television; radio; billboards; newspapers etc... I then researched into the different techniques used within adverts such as: slogans; logos; unique selling point etc... I also researched into what makes a good and bad advertisement and bullet pointed them so that I am able to come back at a later date to write up about the research.

Finally I analysed my last 2 television adverts and found 3 radio advert to then analyse them as well.

Today I started my pre production which I created a slide show on google slides ad came up with my idea for my final outcome which I then translated down on the slide show which helped me translate my ideas to Sam and to give me and easier understanding of my own idea.

I also made a mind map of ideas for how I could make an advertisement about West Ham United football club, And I listed out what I needed to think about for the advertisement.

Basic Voice FX

Speech Leveller which allows you to level out the audio and make the high pitches lower and the low pitches higher.

FFT Filter which allows you to add basic sound FX such as changing how the audio sounds for example you can make the audio sound as if they are on the phone.

Full Reverb which allows you to add reverb and make the audio sound less dry.

Pitch Shifter which allows you to change the pitch on the audio so that you can sound like a chipmunk or even a demon.

Delay and Echo this allows you to change how much echoing there is you can also change how long the echo takes to happen and how long it lasts for.

Today I was tasked to do a mini photoshoot of a selection of items from my home to used to show different types of camera angles that I could use within my own advertisement. I used a piece of whit A4 paper to create a flat high key background for my objects and then positioned them under the unites in the kitchen for the "Studio" like lights from above.

Today I did a task on Diegetic and Non Diegetic sound where I then had to research into the types of sound and show my research within my webnode blog. I also researched into "layers of sound" such as dialogue, sound FXs and music used within videos and films.

I also watched 6 different adverts to see the different techniques used within them and, to see the different types of music used within certain types of advertisements.

Today I was tasked to create a sticker within photoshop which i could use in my final outcome, I then animated it within Adobe Premiere Pro to make the sticker move around in a 'short' advert.

I then was taught how to use noise reduction within Adobe Audition which can help me with my final advert to reduce background noise or even graininess from my iPhone microphone.

Today I completed my cutaway video which was tasked by Sam as well as creating 2 logos that I will be using within my final advertisement.
